That motivates students to default then Josh. Need to amend that part. How about legislation requiring colleges to conform to a fair and standardized tuition cost system based on student income?

That's the point. Colleges are raising prices so they can take the full amount of the loans. If colleges have to eat that cost, they will lower prices that drive students into unrepayable debt. Lower tuition rate without forced pricing that shouldn't be done.

Post a link to the bill so we can read it and decide its merits for ourselves.

Post a link to the legislation so I can read it brooooo. But this is a step in the right direction, government should not have to pay for loans. At all. The less government involvement, the better

What’s the logic behind making the university pay if a student defaults. You start off all rational and reasonable, and then get stupid. I don’t understand.

Colleges overcharge to get most of gov funds. Students default- tuition too high. Hit the college to payback, they lower prices to get the biggest piece that doesn't cost them=lower tuition for student. Keeps fed loan- voluntary tuition reduction by college.

Sounds very good. I wish this was a topic when I went for a degree in mass comm. Just think I got a degree in something that was never designed for those outside of the elite. Mass Comm degree isn’t worth the debt. Most end up with low entry jobs with plenty of debt.
