Most of these people are not trying to "abuse the asylum system", they're fleeing what decades of US interventionalist policies have caused in South America.

Fix the problems. I immigrants have been here since before school age and they-graduate high school. Make them citizens. Get the parents on a path to citizenship...stop playing game with the system

Do you know what these people are fleeing? They are trying to get AWAY from cartels. These people aren’t criminals. They are desperate. They want to BE Americans. They are a threat to America. They are seeking freedom. I know we can’t take them all. But they are no threat.
