Force Big Tech to give us a choice to opt out of cookies too. @narrative_hq proposes a good ad model where the advertising is relevant to the content that the Internet user is viewing right this second, not the content that the user viewed in the past.

Only the users can force Big Tech. Stop accepting cookies. Use blockers. If websites don't work without cookies then don't use them. If you need to use them then create a competitor without the cookies. No one will protect you if you don't learn to protect yourself.

This should no be a "Opt-Out" idea, this law, and I admit I haven't read it, should and must require people to "Opt-In" to being tracked by any company of any kind for any reason. And companies should be required to state in plain English if their going to sell your data.

The FCC needs to officially recognize companies like Facebook as publishers. As A publisher they have a right to censor, edit, and editorialized. Publisher status also creates accountability and gives standing to people with grievances against Facebook as a publisher.
