Minerva's Den was what I wanted Bioshock 2 to be. Hot damn. What an ending. The weapons were such a great improvement from B2 and the new plasmid and gene tonics ruled.

I said the exact same after I played it. Bioshock 2 felt like it was trying hard to mimic the previous game and the "twist seen from a mile away" felt forced. Minerva's Den, however, was a chef's kiss.

Don't get how you can call a DLC not even the length of a small game...better. Makes no sense. Also B2 was never trying to imitate 1 and there was no plot twist(s).

That was the joke. There was no plot twist in the game which inherently was the twist. As I played, I fully expected there to be one. I didn't say B2 was awful, just the DLC story was a better sequel to the first in tone and delivery.

Is it really though? A 2-3 hour DLC has better narrative than an 11 hour game... Really? That's like saying a side/short story is better than a novel.

If the short story has better focus and, well, a more interesting story, isn't that better than something is longer and rambles and doesn't quite reach the heights of the shorter story? Not saying B2 is bad, but just that MD's better designed short experience was more fun
