The good news is it looks like I noticed this early! I hadn't really noticed my cats scratching irregularly. I think it'll all be okay. Going to get up early (rip) and get to the pet store

I saw on your IG story, that you’re still having a flea issue? What kind of medicine did you get for them? I had the same thing a few years ago... but it was a lot worse. I took them into the vet, and they got a shot to help with the each, and....

.... and some flea medication that killed all the fleas on them within 24hrs. But it lasted a whole month. And I had to give them that medicine once every month, for 3 months. But it worked wonderfully

I gave them Advantage II! I think I gave my bigger one the incorrect (small) dose so I figure taking them to the vet and getting them to give them better stuff is the best option. Plus I want the vet to check out their ears. I'm going to do a carpet powder this weekend and...

...hoping that helps get rid of this issue faster! Thankfully I don't have a _ton_ of carpet, so it should be okay! I've been vacuuming every day in all the spots they get to. I think it's mostly going okay. Just annoying. Always helpful to hear other stories, so thank you!

Ah ok. Yea I was cautious about using over the counter flea medicine, since I heard some bad stories about cats getting poisoned. So I just took him to the vet. I didn’t catch it early and at that point he was losing his fur and just stressed out and constantly scratching so...

... so they gave him a shot for that. And they gave me Revolution. It’s a prescription only and costs around $60 for a 3pk dosage. It’s a little pricey but absolutely worth it. I bought 1 for each cat. And within 2 days, both where back to normal. All the fleas on them died... &pic.twitter.com/mfFLhyA8fR

....& no more scratching. Its 1 a month for 3 - 6 months, since fleas can live around 40 days without feeding. So it’s to make sure they don’t come back again, and any left on the furniture/carpet eventually starve and die. Ugh the constant cleaning part was the worst

Advantage seems totally reliable (it's locked behind a counter at pet stores and whatnot!) so it wasn't like a sketch cheap brand that I've seen. I am hoping to get them on Revolution. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'm glad you were able to get your kitty treated!

Ah ok. I’ll have to look into Advantage next time I’m looking for some preventive flea meds. Yes Revolution is amazing. I would highly recommend it, and stand by it. And thank you, We’re both happy he was treated and got better quickly.

My vet recommended I use Cheristin (she uses it on her cats) so I went with that!
