Here is my talk with All Things Considered tonight if you have 7 minutes for nonreligious rabbis, secular students, learning about unconditional love from religious leaders, & a cute baby story. Thanks as always,

Sometimes it takes an overly dramatic week/weekend to remind me that I actually enjoy doing laundry. When this world seems out of control I try to remember I'm a sentient being on earth, 14 billion years after the Big Bang, with easy access to liquid soap and a good spin cycle.

Thank you, . It was a privilege to speak with you and I was, once again, honored to represent my colleagues - especially the ones who disagree with me most strongly on theology and politics.

Harvard’s organization of chaplains has elected as its next president an atheist named Greg Epstein. His appointment reflects a broader trend of young people who increasingly identify as spiritual but religiously nonaffiliated.

The appointment of as the head of the various chaplaincies at Harvard makes perfect sense. He cares more about *living* as an atheist, not *making* you one, and he always builds connections with religious allies working on common goals.

Excited to see rising to the moment to make sure the needs of all their students are being met by their programming. , as usual, nails it: “We don’t look to a god for answers. We are each other’s answers.” 👏👏

Great and dare I say it historic news at Harvard today: my friend has been made chief chaplain and he's an atheist — bringing his rigor, moral commitments, and sublime faithlessness to the job. Congratulations.
