    Ottawa asked to take action on birth citizenship. Richmond to investigate provincial laws that permit birth hotels. The motion passed!

    is the heart of money laundering & birth tourism. About 500 births a yr take up space in Richmond hospital as people jump the que to get Candian citizenship. We've been abandoned by the federal government. Councillor Day is demanding action.

    Need -40C for 2 days to kill spruce beetles & stop infestation in the North. Last time we had -40C at our Cache Creek ranch was 1978. Since then we've had plagues of budworms, tussock moths & pine beetles. -30C this yr.,1st time since 2012,

    We need one party to break with the corporations. The Conservatives & Liberals are branches of the same tree & they take turns representing them. The NDP is caught in the corporate trap because of greenwash leaders & unions that work for the corporations. The could do it.

    The BC Greens, like the NDP, are not progressive in a number of ways. In the BC Green case, recent votes on labour issues were disappointing, the platform contains too much emphasis on private industry green tech, & too many libertarian elements like gig economy ride-hailing.

    Most green NDP's are already in the Green party. The 1st greens left the in 1978 when the IWA union took control of the executive in support of clear-cut logging old growth forests. More have left since but that didn't make the Greens progressive.

    What I have never understood why the “Green NDPs” dont just join the Greens and help to make a more viable environmentally sensitive party. Trying to change the NDP is like pushing water uphill.

    The geothermal District Energy Utility doesnt use ground loops in trenches. Wells are drilled deep into the ground & a loop installed. Hot water comes up similar to a hot spring but goes back down again when cooled. All of downtown Richmond will be geothermal DEU.

    People get confused because isolated Hot Springs where water is hot enough to come to the surface as steam can be used to produce electricity. Geothermal District Energy doesn't & must be located at a site where it is needed. benefits from easy to drill alluvial soils
