Trump is proof we need a much much much smarter electorate - we should increase spending on education to one dollar for each dollar spent on defense; education, college - America's only hope, America's best defense.
I strongly agree. Pre-school through college. Affordable, accessible education is the key.

I believe strongly in education but I have no illusions that more education means less Trumpism. We need to shore up democratic institutions to prevent takeover, at the electoral level, at the financial level, at the regularatory level. The work never ends.

There does need to be childcare, education, healthcare, and nutritional support from prenatal through the PhD level, though.
