It’s a shame we are losing another top county health official. She quit her post because she was getting threats from anti maskers over her mandatory mask order. And she was getting backlash from the board of supervisors as well. Protesters publicly release her home address and protested outside her home.

It's more than a shame, it's a travesty. The good Dr. mandated masks for people in public in OC March 23rd, certainly slowing the spread, and faced anti-science backlash incl protests at her home. Idiots forced her out for sane, effective public policy.

I couldn’t agree more. What makes me even angrier is that people were threatening her family. There is something so wrong with this. I’ve lived in the OC for many, many years and we’ve evolved into a hot mess of stupidity & bigotry.
