The President of the United States is supposed to represent freedom — of speech and religion. I condemn the president’s remarks and march toward totalitarianism and call on all my colleagues to do the same.

Singling out the Jewish community for lack of fealty to an individual is the calling card of anti-Semitic totalitarianism. We’ve seen this throughout history and now we see it repeated by the leader of the free world.
