Fair enough, but behavior is conditioned by policy. Eg: I may want to walk or bike to work, or take the train or the bus, but the built environment around me (which has been shaped by policy) constrains my actions. We cannot focus on behavior change in a political economic vacuum

Three degrees of warming is not a world we want. Sea level will rise so high that some coastal cities & islands will disappear. We will lose corals, Arctic sea ice. The climate extremes we're already seeing will get worse.

Because we're talking about the mum who brought her little child to the protest site, let me tell you what women farmers tell me: they have no-one to co-opt, nobody at home (other women are at work too) to mind a child, esp a sick child & they go where they go +

Currently in NZ: - Huge parts of the country are smashing temp and dryness records - We're seeing more fires under tinder-dry conditions - Parts of the South Island are experiencing unprecedented rainfall - Our media is largely failing to connect this to the climate crisis
