@HardcoreHistory listened to “blueprints...” probably 20 times, excellent. Although every time I’m annoyed by your highlighting Britain’s involvement in WW1 and how the world would be better if not... same can be said of any of the major players.

The British alternative history point we made is one of the most widely speculated about though. I didn't make up the interest in it. Worth pointing out for that reason alone,don't you think?

Also most countries in that war didn't have the option of staying out if they chose not to be involved. The British had more flexibility over that question than most.

The thinking was that it would be like the Franco-Prussian war outcome, not the 1940 one (remember the Russians were coming from the East at the same time in 1914, but were comparatively friendly with Germany in 1940).
