No such duty; these "influencers" would not have the same ethical norms as conventional media outlets.

This is a smart strategy on the part of the government and one that really can be extended to other issues (ie: get your flu shot, anti-vaccination nonsense, save for your retirement, etc...). This is a proven and effective approach and reflects the new media environment.
