ICYMI: Critics have long called for the Vatican to intervene with TX Bishop Joseph Strickland, who, among other things, prayed at a pre-Jan 6 "Jericho March" event. But per new info, the Vatican has *already* personally reprimanded him at least once.

1. Looks like the TX 10 Commandments bill failed to get a vote before session ended last night, killing it for now. It was one of 3 bills related to public schools decried by critics as Christian nationalist. Only one of them — a chaplains bill — passed.

This needs to sink in. Sudanese Doctors Union says only 29 hospitals working in the whole of Sudan, six are the remaining ones in Khartoum. A population of 45 million is left with 29 hospitals at a time of war.
