#Belarus When I read comments that Belarusians gave up and are doing nothing, I want to share the facts and data. In November alone, at least 354 people were arrested for political reasons. It gives us 11 people every day arrested for their opposition to the regime and the war

#Ukraine In Kyiv, friends and colleagues said the last goodbye to our Belarusian hero Eduard Lobau who died on the frontline. His body will be transported to Warsaw. In less than a day, Belarusians crowdfunded money for the burial. Rest in peace, Eduard.

Such lies make me sick. I personally know families where both parents are in jail, and their toddlers are with grandparents abroad. Some were taken away by the state. Minors were jailed. I know parents and their children in prison. Incredible, dangerous and inhumane cynicism.

We know about at least 50 people who have been detained upon their arrival from abroad in #Belarus. The regime accused them of participating in protests. Yet propaganda keeps claiming that those who fled can come back, saying that it is better for children "who need a childhood".

Fanipal is a town of 18,000. Despite raids & arrests, people keep resisting even in the underground. Most recently, they donated to the Kalinouski regiment in #Ukraine and collected money for families of political prisoners. People didn't give up, risking their freedom every day.

#Belarus In Fanipal, for the past two years, dozens of people were jailed. Most recently, police arrested 20 residents in one day. Imagine they brought a mother and her infant child to a police station. Terrorists from the interior ministry unit Gubopik badly beat another woman.

Polish border guards spotted migrants on a boat. The regime in #Belarus continues weaponising migration in an attempt to destabilise its neighbours.

The Ukraine-European Union summit in Kyiv began with an air alarm. It is because Russian aircraft took to the air in #Belarus. I doubt it was not on purpose. Yet another reminder of why #Ukraine needs Europe's and the world's support.

One important lesson I learned is not to fight alone. One year ago, I tried to change a certain situation - I spoke out about it yet it was largely ignored. After a year, the critical mass of my colleagues demanded change. I'm proud I wasn't silent. But I wasn't effective either.

In #Belarus, the central election commission announced the preparation for parliamentary and local elections in 2024. Also, the All-Belarusian people's assembly will be formed. The regime has been repressing and arresting to kill any resistance. No criticism is allowed.

- The regime launched a new case against the political prisoner Alena Hnauk. Recently, a 65-year-old woman was placed in a punishment cell and deprived of almost all packages, calls and meetings. She was sentenced to 3,5 years in jail. Pensioners are obviously very dangerous.

- In Orsha, the prominent zoo activist Alena Mirashnichenka was arrested for teaching local residents how to treat homeless animals. The police accused her of "holding an unauthorised mass event". The regime is absolutely paranoid. They want to punish and silence everyone.

It is even more disappointing given the news. Only from today: - Vital Brahinets, Ales Bialatski's lawyer, was sentenced to 8 years in jail. The regime criminalises lawyers. This is also a signal to anyone who wants to defend political prisoners: you can become one yourself.

#Belarus It's disappointing to see the regime's mouthpiece Yury Vaskrasenski and the head of the football federation Uladzimir Bazanau freely travelling in the EU despite supporting repressions and serving the regime. Visa bans must be considered against the regime's loyalists.

Put Lukashenka in the same basket as Putin. The regime in Minsk committed many crimes, including co-aggression, so Lukashenka deserves the tribunal as well.

Putin called it unbelievable that #Russia is being "threatened again by German tanks". In response, he promised to respond "not only with armored vehicles". I think we are used to this cynicism: he invaded #Ukraine and is surprised that the country has the right to defend itself.

Our national hero Kastus Kalinouski was born on February 2, 1838. He was the leader of the January Uprising against the Russian Empire. It was defeated but it paved the way for our national revival. That's why I won't underestimate 2020. The revolution sometimes takes longer.

We lost a hero on the frontline. Former Belarusian political prisoner Eduard Lobau covered the wounded commander before he died. It was in Vuhledar. Eduard has been a military volunteer in #Ukraine since 2015 after he was released from prison in #Belarus. He helped liberate Kyiv.

A TV channel in #Zimbabwe published a photo of the evening reception of the delegation from #Belarus. Lukashenka's youngest son Mikalai and apparently his mother Iryna Abelskaya, Lukashenka's former doctor, were filmed among the guests. A family vacation or what?

Back in USSR: in Volgograd, Russians unveiled the monument to Stalin. Reportedly some 1,400 people came. I won't be surprised if among them were the descendants of those repressed by Stalin because memory became really short in today's #Russia.

#Belarus The Ukrainian embassy in Minsk right after Russia launched the full-scale invasion. Today, Belarusians can't bring flowers, protest, or show any solidarity with #Ukraine. The regime harshly persecutes those who are against the war. We know that Belarusians don't want it.

I am so proud of my friends and colleagues who have now officially launched The Belarusian Film Academy to help independent artists from #Belarus who face repression. More than 130 Belarusian filmmakers signed a collective statement condemning Russia’s war against #Ukraine.

The video one rarely sees in #Belarus, where Lukashenka can only be filmed from certain angles. He clearly has issues with his knee and generally doesn't look very healthy. The video was taken during his trip to #Zimbabwe. The regime is trying to show that it's not isolated.

#Belarus Nasta Loika is a prominent human rights defender, my friend and an amazingly brave woman. Now we learned that she was violated with electric shock because she didn't reveal her phone password. Imagine how strong she is. We can't stay silent while she is tortured in jail.

#Belarus Lukashenka gave a tractor to Emmerson Mnangagwa as a gift. Before, Putin received a bag of potatoes. This is in addition to parts of my country's sovereignty that Lukashenka gave away to Russia as well.

#Belarus I didn't know Lukashenka is getting married in #Zimbabwe. His press service published these photos describing them as "negotiations in a wide format and solemn atmosphere🔥". This is a real quote. And yes, they really used the fire emoji. Something is in the air!

Unbelievable. This is the greeting Lukashenka received in #Zimbabwe. People even danced. Such a rare view for #Belarus where he is being hated. Only carefully selected people are allowed to be present around him. Perhaps it was the same in Zimbabwe.

#Belarus What a diplomatic breakthrough! Officially, he is expected to launch the second phase of the "Zimbabwe-Belarus agricultural mechanisation programme." Wow. By the way, I am not sure I got the ban on female journalists wearing "revealing clothes" during Lukashenka's visit

#Belarus The Homiel bard Andrey Melnikau was detained. He is now being held in the pre-trial detention center. The reason is unknown. The regime keeps arresting Belarusians. It literally happens every day. Nobody is safe inside the country.
