The reality is that the left has been the most vocal about intelligently addressing the root causes of violent crime AND methods that actually work to prevent crime. The center and right just throw their hands up and pour money into failed policing strategies and prisons.
kind of think its fake, target is pretty smart in pretending to be a victim of crime despite making hundreds of billions of dollars (an ammount that no theif could conceivably take from them) because it allows target to force the city to give them gifts and benefits.

You could make that same argument about the left pouring money into the "homeless crisis" and then watch as the numbers backslide into the abyss. The answer lies within mutual cooperation and compromise.

Where are the educational/vocational programs you are talking about? How many of them are from Chesa's catch/release program? Where are the programs for at-risk youth that Chesa's office has implemented?
Were true crime would be going down not up in Dem run cities.
