I have been doing Magic illustrations since 2008. I didn't get a legendary character to illustrate until 2017. Since then I have been very fortunate to illustrate some major characters in MtG lore, but Urza, Planeswalker was highest-stakes commission I have ever painted /1 🧵

We, the players, don't even need to buy these. Our response to the announcement is what they're really after - after all, if there's enough feedback from players who want "real" versions of the anniversary cards, then moves could be made to remove the RL.

There are two ways to interpret this: 1. WOTC/Hasbro wants to create an extremely niche collectable product to celebrate. 2. They want to test the limits of the Reserve List by printing these cards.

Pre-ordered the Necron 40k deck, pretty excited to have a cool mono-black artifact-matters deck! The precon seems pretty beefy already, though I can see possible ways to upgrade it.

There's the possibility that this deck might change after more Brother's War spoilers drop. Tons of potential there - I'm hoping for a decent artifact tutor, at the very least!

Karn's wishboard gets anything else the deck can't cover, either to protect Urza or help him after he melds. Though, post-meld Urza is probably enough to get the job done...

With Urza's discount, both artifacts become much easier to play, and things like Prismatic Ending and Supreme Verdict get better with their reduced mana cost.

The powerstones are good removal pieces/card draw, and using Prophetic Prism for mana fixing and more card draw is also useful. Both can power up Constructs, too!

Use the usual Urza lands, then find ways to dig for the combo pieces/protect Urza... yeah, that's worth brewing. The Vorthos in me really needs to try it.

Your life isn’t just comprised of the peaks. If they were all that people could see, mountains would look stupid. The uphill climb, and the valleys surrounding, all make the mountain. That’s all you. And you’re a force of nature, from the top to the bottom.

Out Of The Tombs has a neat combo with Magosi, the Waterveil - if you can move the eon counters (and get multiple activations in) onto Magosi with Nesting Grounds, you can get reliable extra turns!

Took a look at the Necron 40k Commander cards and uh... dang, these guys are cool. Good cards as well! These three stand out to me as some of the best ones.

Traded in a bunch of cards at my LGS last Friday to snag this gorgeous MPS Sword of Fire and Ice! Super happy to have this in my collection, it's a great card to own and play with.

Started playing Song of Horror with my fiancée tonight. It's a rock-solid horror game with great mechanics and puzzles! Highly recommend if you want something spooky.
