2/ in my experience USA companies cared more about race than gender but gender mattered.

3/ in USA company a black woman had highest priority, black man 2nd and a white woman 3rd

4/ most of my career I worked for a European company and honestly they were pretty blind to race. They cared about gender. Hard quota.

5/ i worked an exec level for more than a decade and saw it evolve from "encourage women" to hard 50:50 quota in a 20:80 industry.

6/ honestly I never once heard the legality called into question , and the quota was known widely to executives

12/ I find AA for the weak minded. I trust myself to evaluate merit. I don't need AA to give women or minorities a fair shake. F that.
