LOL, u love poasting this woman to prove this point. 1) "SSA" in Christian Levant pulls toward E Africa mostly b/c Natufian/Taforalt/Basal-related admix INTO E Africa, not vice versa 2) Elevated SSA in Muslim Levant is of BANTU origin, bringing archaic admixture with it

Oh yeah, forgot to ask this before but how do geneticists explain the high occurrence of Haplogroup E in Natufians which is generally held to be an African center of distribution & origin with the fact that Natufians were 100% non-African? Sorry this has puzzled me.

I think all of y-dna E is linked w/Basal Eurasian and/or so-called "Ancestral North Eurasian" ghost populations. E-V38 was in Mesolithic Iran & EBA Turan, E-M215 in LBA Swat Valley. None of these pops had appreciable Basal African ancestry, only BE ancestry.

All of it? Basal Eurasian exists more as a statistical concept more than any thing and it’s apparent how little its understood in how many branches relative to its sibling OOA population. Ive already developed a pet theory that BE is just ancestral East Africans #nationalist 😤😤pic.twitter.com/1TIyQWmi6r

The latest evidence suggests a group of Natufian-like people migrated into North Africa as far back as the Paleolithic and there mixed with a ghost population dubbed "Ancestral North African" (ANA). This admixed population then re-entered the Levant with E-lineages from ANA.

I see, but then the question is: what is “ANA” made out of? Earlier papers placed the origin of E-M215 in East or Northeast Africa. The Taforalt samples were earlier believed to have been a two way mix between something Natufian-like and something Hadza-like.

ANA is as of yet a ghost but is phylogenetically downstream of Mota and upstream of OoA. A Eurasian population probably encountered ANA in Northeast Africa, probably Upper Nile Valley, and then re-entered the Levant - archeologically related to the Sebilian and Qadan cultures.

The new models propose that instead of a two-way admixture, its more likely SSA and Natufians shared ancestry in the shape of ANA i.e Taforalt contributed ancestry both into Africans and Eurasians, much like Ancient North Eurasian contributed to Europeans and Native Americans.
