I am completely over the moon that 'Time to Think' has been shortlisted for The Orwell Prize for Political Writing 2023. Thank you to everyone who spoke to me for the book, , and . It would not have been possible without you.

The finalists for The Orwell Prize for Political Writing 2023 reveal what complex times we live in - even as the clarity of the storytelling offers a way through: from geopolitics & the overcoming of historical inequalities, to ideas for our shared future. Congratulations all!

The porn kids are seeing today - rape, choking, racist, etc - is a far cry from the Page 3 girls and Playboy magazines we all grew up with, and it’s appalling that so many adults (especially on here) refuse to acknowledge that

Very reasonable requests from Joanna Cherry here of the Stand - an acknowledgement of their unlawful discrimination against her, an apology and a restoration of the event they unlawfully cancelled. And in taking steps to enforce the Equality Act she’s doing everyone a favour.

Replying to @BarbaraRich_law @obsolete__units and @HadleyFreeman
Woman buys nice things, looks after them and has them stolen? That sounds like something people should definitely be made aware of. It's actual crime, as opposed to, well, ego driven vanity lawfare...

Obviously Jolyon blocked me years ago when I asked him why he thought biological males should be in women’s rugby. But it’s always good to get financial tips from this modern day St Francis of Assisi about how I should spend money I earn myself

Good piece. Advocates of gender-affirming healthcare who aren't also advocates of US-style healthcare markets should ask more questions about role of capital in all this. Who benefits from rising demand for hormones/ surgery to make bodies match gender identities? Is the gender… Show more

Great to see @HadleyFreeman interviewing @CanSG_org in the Observer. Psychiatrist: “It’s confusing to describe a young female patient’s history of sexual abuse and trauma if I have to refer to her as ‘him’." Yes, confusing and dangerously inaccurate. thetimes.co.uk/article/welcom
