    Indeed. Agrifood productivity peaked in 2014, just before ISIS rolled in into the major agricultural governorates of Iraq, benefiting tremendously from the agrifood sector to bankroll the ISIS-economy. From the onset of its takeover, ISIS realized the tremendous potential of

    's agricultural sector was once its national pride, it has been overshadowed by oil, but nonetheless saw substantial growth prior to the ISIS war (which devastated the prime agricultural provinces). It should be a major focus as Iraq diversifies into the post-oil economy.
