"Nothing in Scripture mandates it..." Except God's consistent command over 1000s of years to his covenant people. The Baptist presupposition is Biblical Judaism is completely different religion and commands of God therein have no bearing on the church.

You’re misrepresenting my argument by tying it to pointed semantics like “different religion”. Absolutely untrue.

It's not untrue - you believe that the covenant of which Abraham was under was a completely different one - one that could not save. Do you not?

Not at all. The OT covenant of faith (and circumcision as it’s personal sign of individual commitment) is no different than the NT covenant of faith (and baptism as it’s personal sign of individual commitment).

Circumcision was not a "sign of individual commitment", nor is baptism. But yes, the OC/NC are "no different" in the sense that they're admins of the one covenant of grace.
