I have absolutely no problem with infant baptism
so long as their first words are: “I repent of my sins and trust in Jesus Christ alone.”

Did circumcision bring an infant into the covenant? Also can you point to a verse where God explicitly changes the age of those whom his Covenant sign us to be placed on?

This is a substantially different covenant (Heb 8), that is not based on the first birth but the second birth (John 3), one in which ever member genuinely knows God (Heb 8:11), and one that cannot be broken (Jer 31:31-34 & Luke 22:20 c/w Jer 11:10).

Obtaining the promises pictured in the Covenant sign has always been based on second birth - but the sign is to be applied to all those who become part of the community.
