So people who played in that short period of time that volitility was higher got a huge advantage. Now players that are playing in the last few days are completely screwed because they need to play 5x+ the number of games to achieve that same mmr. 1/2

This was all done without any communication with the community at all. Many people have spent hundreds of hundreds of hours competing for points the past few months and for there to be a change in the last few days without any effort to make good on these mistakes is unacceptable

the problem was not about the # of ranks gained per win changed, the problem was that it was done without warning right before the end of the season. this wouldn't have been an issue if it was done to start april w/ communication (or without even) but doing it so

close to the end of a month (let alone the final month of the first hct season where almost everyone is estimating how many points makes it since the threshold was so high) is still baffling, even with this apology.
