    Get the vaccine not the flu Vaccination is the most effective way of preventing infection. Vaccination works by stimulating your immune system to produce antibodies against the disease. The flu vaccine is not live so you can’t catch the flu from it.

    Hospitalized since New Year’s Eve. Ambulance drivers, nurses, doctors, consultants and others from all over Ireland and the world, the people that make up the HSE, are magnificent. To have so many people directly contributing to my welfare is mind blowing.

    1/2 -72,032 attendances to our Emergency department in 2018 An increase of 4222 on 2017. From December 24th to 1st January we saw & treated 1682 patients. We are an exceptionally busy hospital at UHL & have exceptional staff giving care in a busy service.

    We do well on paid maternity leave & now progressive measures on paternity leave. Pairing high quality affordable childcare with places of work is a progressive measure we can address. In BCH my lo started daycare onsite at 6.30. I was at my desk by 6.40 knowing she was happy 1

    Avoiding the need for antibiotics by dosing up on honey and lemons in warm water & plenty of Vit C. Best treatment for sniffles and dry throat.
