You might understand that second person saying 'I am not a fan of Peterson' as saying 'I am not a fan of personal responsibility' when they mean 'I am not a fan of Darwinian notions of truth.' Therefore, miscommunication has happened & you could actually agree on both things.

Frighteningly accurate.

And also that you weren't going to help in any way but would sit back and nitpick.

I took it as him criticising you for your own occasional criticism of Peterson? Yea, coffee largely disagrees with me too and I've had a few teas already.. I just really used it as an analogy for the fact that I overslept and that my head hasn't yet fully awoken.
-
I have no problem with Helen's criticism of Peterson. I think I am more positive towards him then she is, but her criticisms have been measured and thoughtful (damn it).
-
This is why, despite me not always agreeing with her takes or opinions, I respect and admire her. Always got time for folk who can calmly work through ideas and calmly debate. A rarity, especially on social media.
-
Agreed. Peterson is more ... complicated. He's walking a tightrope without a net. It's an interesting spectacle, but could end badly.
-
Oh yes, and importantly, well he knows it, that it could end badly. I hope later rather than sooner, ideally, never. Love him or hate him, what he's doing has value. If anything does cause his downfall, it will be his temperament, which I incidentally largely share with him.
