Who’s projecting what? You’re whitewashing the family and community pressure that can be brought to bear on women from more tribal/religious societies, which treat them like breeders. Plus you’re insultingly implying westerns don’t care about family ties and bonds. Nonsense.

Further the vast *vast* majority of working people don't have "careers." They have a sequence of crappy roles and would be lucky to retire at a sufficient seniority to make £25/hour.

Well I'm definitely not talking about the 1%-2% of women who see themselves as on a track for a VP job at Goldman Sachs or partnership at PWC. No one will stop those women from career success.
