If someone genuinely feels under too much pressure from feminism to have children and stay home with them, she should seek help. It is not normal to be this strongly influenced by a small section of a society which otherwise overwhelmingly supports women's right to choose.

I think this feeling comes from the general thrust of feminism - be a ceo, earn more, work in tech etc. Essentially (and ironically) 'be more like a man'. There v little talk of motherhood apart from how it holds women down. 1/

I'd love to hear more about how cool it is that we can grow human beings inside our own bodies and then sustain them with our bodies once they arrive. It's bloody amazing and obviously sets us apart from men but I think in a good way, unlike some feminists. 2/

The celebration of female biology is more associated with new age movements and Womanism. It's not really a political issue. What would be the campaign strategy?

Good point. I guess I'm not thinking in terms of politics and more around general discourse where some choices are less and children seen as a problem for female sucess. Perhaps it's my own sensitivity since having my own and wanting to stay home as much as poss.

Yes, I don't think that is general. I think it is that you notice the disparagement more. Very many women who don't have children report being sensitive to being asked when they are going to have them.
