Obviously, someone in a small conservative Christian or Muslim community or something might think twice before rejecting all they stand for and not marrying & staying home with children because she'd lose her whole community. But does this exist for feminist communities?

Excellent comparison. Very helpful.

I'm just not convinced that feminists have that kind of power especially as the majority of women do not identify as feminist and more view feminism negatively than positively. It is really easy to find a supportive network if you have socially conservative life goals.

This is making me feel so much better about life

Ah sorry, it's not letting me scroll up. I totally agree with you. It's up to everyone to figure out what they want and need and pursue it, and we certainly have the freedom to do so. At the same time, schools today teach the feminist story from 5 yrs, at least where I live.

They do? They teach that women should not stay home with kids?

I've seen some pretty shocking curriculum lately but can't remember all the details. They definitely cast serious aspersions on it - you don't really want to, you've just been brainwashed to think you do, unless you're weak/useless, essentially - but explicitly "don't"? Not sure
