Cool. You're both critical of postmodernism based on the same blatant lies about what it is, you share a common language to describe those lies, and you align with their "left" formations. That's all I was saying.</>

Nope. The far-right tend to conflate postmodernism with Marxism and also oppose liberal aims for gender/racial/LGBT equality. Liberal & radical (feminist or Marxist) lefties tend to criticise it on epistemology & ethics which are counterproductive to equality aims.
-
Have you ever read Foucault talking about Marx? Also, are you familiar with Marx's critique of the liberal conception of equality? Lastly, are you familiar with the concept of and development of historic materialism? (I think these questions point at answers to your concerns.)

Foucault's connection to Marxism was complicated but mostly negative, particularly in the soviet context. Yes, I was discussing it yesterday. And yes, of course. However, the conversation has moved on from this & criticisms of PoMo are largely about contemporary manifestations.

> "Foucault's connection to Marxism was complicated but mostly negative, " Aren't you conflating Marx and marxism here? > " criticisms of PoMo are largely about contemporary manifestations." Well, I'm calling that a false attribution.

Oh yes, you did say Marx rather than Marxism. Call it what you want. Feel free not to join the conversation. It matters most to me what is happening right now to real people.
