metamodernism is simply a term for describing how culture has shifted over the past 2 decades, not a roadmap or 12 rules for life or anything. If this isn't useful to you, no worries

It’s not inaccurate but it’s platonic & generalized. It cannot be applied & is useful only as a way to understand different ideologies & the impact they are having on society. I can see how it can be appealing to those who wish to appear enlightened while not engaging debate

I'm not sure what is being commented on here, but metamodernism certainly engages with the emergence of different ideologies in recent years, though it is not exactly an ideology in itself, but more a mode from which those have emerged and are applied.
