At the very least, they're sucking all the oxygen out of the room for q rational, reasoned and scientific approach to the very real problems we face. Panic never helps.

One can be compassionate without being totally irrational.

That's a major quality that people who tout intersectional politics lack: compassion. They assume the worst of everybody. For example, microaggressions.

The most heartbreaking component of it all is how well-intentioned their sentiments are. They really DO want to be better humans, they are just morally confused.

I wish I knew what the answer was to combat all this.

We'll figure it out. It's getting better. I believe we'll sort this as long as people keep having the balls to counter poor arguments and bad ideas, like Helen.

Everyone should be listened to, listening does not and should not mandate automatic agreement. I have serious issues with BLM and metoo among others. The former because of shameful hyperbole and the later for actively wanting to do away with legal due process.
