Eggy bread was such a great and simple dish. Then around the age off 11, my mum visited Montreal and brought back with her some of the aforementioned Canadian syrup. Let’s just say the humble eggy bread became, dare I say, elevated.

This is ridiculously complex. Its like when mum got complex ingredients for pancakes. They then tasted like fresh shop pancakes instead of the egg/flour pancakes we loved so much. I prefer the latter.

We are a simole people. However, once we do our basic cooking, frying etc., we tend to put sugar, salt, red sauce, brown sauce, vinegar on the resultant basic food.
