IMHO the connection is that most of the Pomo philosophers were frustrated Marxists (J-FLyotard, Foucault, Althusser etc). I read that to mean that the Grand Narrative they thought incredulous was the one they had believed in. Pomo is a move away from Marxism.

I've always considered Marxist involvement in PoMo politics pretty cynically. All too often, the argument ends up being that "the *real* solution to this problem is class consiousness through a Marxist lens" which isn't actually PoMo at all.
