It's also true that some women who have been abused (perhaps multiple times) turn to feminism. I empathise with them even though they have the bad tendency to project their own suffering onto society.

Yes, I feel the same way about ex-Muslims who become anti-Muslims and ally with right-wing anti-Muslim bigots rather than liberal critics of Islam. It is hard to blame them for feeling that way although it makes critique of Islam & support of liberal & ex Muslims harder.

Or you have just mixed up cause and effect?

The feminists are the ones who have had bad experiences with men? But they keep having them. This sounds more like a problem with perception to me tho I'm aware that people can make the same mistakes repeatedly. I think 'Feminists are women with failed relationships' is trite tho

Feminism means a lot of different things. What I'd call mainstream feminism has nothing to do with hating men, merely with wanting equal opportunity, pay, respect, etc - i.e. normal human rights. Like other things (communism, liberalism) the label has been hijacked by a minority.
-
You have all that already. Any differences are due to personal choice, not sexism.
-
Not entirely true, there is still a gender pay gap after adjustment for differences in hours worked, occupations chosen, education and job experience. It is decreasing, I'm glad to say, so it look as though mainstream feminism is working.
-
What makes you think so?
-
All the surveys and news items I've seen indicate that the gender pay gap has narrowed, but I may be biased by mainly getting New Zealand news. Certainly, recent legislation by the NZ govt has helped with this.

Nailed it - if you meet an arsehole once in the morning, you met an arsehole. If everyone you meet all day is an arsehole, then you should check the mirror.

They believe there are no good men, and their male “allies” also believe that, and then they’re surprised when it turns out those allies are not good men...

Thatv is probably the best response to feminism I've heard. Men and women are designed to get along and support each other.

Well said. Men are not the cause of every grievance that feminists have and the vast majority of men are good blokes. Perhaps feminists need to look in the mirror and be sure that they are "good women" before pointing fingers. Woof!

Or perhaps it's the feminist's fault for surrounding herself with such terrible men, which she attracts by being feminist.

That would actually require them to take accountability and responsibility. If feminists have bad experience with men 99% of the time, maybe the issue is them.
