I missed it too! Here I am, still on the left, still not evaluating people by their race, gender or sexuality, still thinking that's fairly integral to liberalism...https://twitter.com/EricRWeinstein/status/993555036356526083 …

So they're not using Marxism at all? Or rather using a lack of knowledge about Marxism? Why do many of these postmodernists also seem to use Marxist ideas?
-
They don't really. They pay some lipservice to anti-capitalism but Marxism was one of their first targets. They're definitely economic leftists but not Marxists. Marxists hate them. I have written a little on this and will write more soon. It matters coz epistemology differs.

Interesting. Well thank you for clarifying. I look forward to reading about this.

Sorry for the questions. I did study postmodernism in college and I seem to notice that while people are attempting to deconstruct grand-narratives they're replacing the ones that exist with pieces of narratives they like. Which I assume is only natural. A lot it is marxist. IMO.

It definitely is a metanarrative of its own but, from a recent essay of mine:pic.twitter.com/ncIZJbXiFO

Excellent. So perhaps all the blending of these philosophies is a consequence of the postmodernism and Marxism taught at schools. There certainly are many Marxist teachers and postmodernist teachers. Perhaps the kids they're educating are confused with partial knowledge.
