I’m confused
Watching house hunters made me aware of the fact that a man cave (a room which the man can decorate the way he wants to)must be allowed by the woman .@HPluckrose
Well, women have always largely been understood to have control of and responsibility for the house but I'm not sure that's a great point against patriarchy.

I’m trying to make a point about the inequality in a patriarch society and how in some situations it suits http://women.My point is do women want to be equally responsible for the financial burden the patriarchy has been putting on men?
-
I get that. It is the well-known conservative argument that traditional gender roles benefit women by giving them reduced or zero financial responsibilities & sovereignty over the home. That's fine if a couple decides that's how it wants things to work & they often will.
-
But I don't want that role and neither do a great number of liberal women and even many conservative women. I won't be at all surprised if it continues to often work out this way naturally now everybody has free choice & access to everything and this is unremarkable.
-
But if you ask 'Do women really want the same financial responsibilities as men and not to have control of home' many women, including me, will say 'yes.' Many will say 'no' but this doesn't mean they're entitled to that role. They need to find a man who wants the other half.
