In fact, when I do discuss laws, which I generally don't, I will usually discuss the ones I don't agree with. This is normal. 'It's right that burglary is illegal' is not an interesting article/tweet thread. 'It's wrong that people are prosecuted for jokes' is much more so.

It's a cop-out. An argument from authority, really: "The law agrees with me, hah!" It sidesteps the moral question which is at the heart of the disagreement.
