Doesn't look that expensive in England either: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/shelves/Fresh_Meat_in_Tesco.html …

You're showing that it costs about twice as much as other meats. When we need to economise, we get Tesco economy chicken portions and minced beef & pork is a treat. The exception is sausages which can be very cheap.
-
Looking at the various categories, depending on the cut,..., beef and chicken can be more expensive than pork.
-
Well, yes, but if you want meat and you don't have a lot of money and you want it to go a long way, you won't go for pork because it's chicken and beef which have cheap cuts.
-
I'm not going to keep arguing about this. It's tedious and besides the point. If you can find anything other than pork sausages which are as cheap as economy chicken and beef mince, that's great. I'll include it in my budget menus.
-
The point is that "even tho pork is one of the more expensive meats." doesn't really work. So are you sure that religion-targeting is really what happened?

There’s a Hadith by the Prophet Mohammed advising that a Muslim should eat pork as a courtesy to their host if that is what is offered.
-
Yes, I said this.

Sorry, I didn’t see it!

Honestly one of the points of their stunt was that it showed the only people complaining about what they are feeding to the homeless are those who can afford to complain about it, and those who hate them so much they will find a reason to complain.

And again, as I said, if you are truly in need, any food taboos you may have would vanish quite fast. In fact, that would be an interesting study, see how many religions even survive being homeless
