I am on the left and even if I wasn't, I'd still be allowed to criticise sexist bigotry. What does 'toxic masculinity' do compared to climate change? Because obviously if something really bad exists, lesser harms become justifiable.https://twitter.com/DeepEcologyAU/status/992203462464061441 …

You're not on the Left. You don't get to tone police the Left. Which feminists? What does the "demonization" do to the men, compared with what does toxic masculinity do to men and women? I'm not only talking about violent criminals.

Toxic masculinity gets people killed. Wake up. An incel just murdered 4 people. Incels fantasize about raping women then dousing them in acid. Toxic masculinity leads to male suicide too.

'Toxic masculinity' is meaningless. All behaviours are found in both sexes. That men have a greater propensity to violence is undeniable but attacking men rather than the people who commit it and are mostly men is collective blame and cannot possibly help.

I can't help you if you can't even acknowledge the existence of toxic masculinity. That's why your tone policing is so empty. You're not at the discussion table, on the Left. You can delude yourself that you are but you're not.

THAT’S tone policing. Requiring the use of one particular word before you’ll even try to engage. It’s unnecessary. It’s like crazy republicans who oddly insist on saying “radical Islamic terror,” like it’s some magic incantation.
