To everyone on the left concerned about men finding @jordanbpeterson appealing - what's *your* answer?
Do you have something to say to young men besides labelling them the enemy and pathologizing them?
Once you figure this out, a healthy debate will ensue.

I'm not in support of subjective truth whether it's the postmodernists or Peterson. Lived experience is not evidence. Narratives are not truths. Science isn't a cultural construction.
-
Unfortunately all truth is subjective.

Okay, sorry, just felt that was so clear ( my experience ). Just saying we all spend our lives immersed in subjectivity. It’s not weird, it’s normal, shouldn’t stop us from being excellent scientists. Problem is maybe your archetypes are not mine and vice versa.
-
Of course it is normal. No-one is saying it isn't. I'm a literature student, not a scientist. I'm interested in narratives and psychology. Also in archetypes. I spent much time studying the tarot. This is just different to truth. It only becomes woo when you claim it isn't.
-
Not a fan of Tarot but could see it as a crude device that does not actually work but was inspired by a subtle revelation yet to be clearly understood. Thank you for a civilized and enjoyable conversation. Rick

. C’mon, just saying there are objective truths ( the chair) and subjective truths ( ideas, thoughts, meaning, archetypes etc). One is measurable the other exists in the realm of mind. Doesn’t mean they are not real.
