Seeing that being a man is an immutable characteristic and believing there is no god but God and Muhammad is his prophet is not. There is no ideology of maleness but there are ideologies which say what maleness should be and we can criticise harmful ones of those.

I know that I am much more receptive to having my liberalism, atheism, humanism etc criticised than I would be to being condemned as part of an evil collective because I am a woman and held to account for all things done by the worst women. The latter seldom happens tho.

I think Cathy's point is that Islam is mostly Arab, while Incel is mostly white american. Thus, it's "racist" to question Islam, let alone paint them with a broad brush, yet fair game to denounce all of Incel for the actions of an extremely small minority of members.
