Also, I must confess that I once complimented a black lady on her hair in the bathrooms of a pub. Rainbow coloured ringlets almost to her waist. She gave me a delighted smile and said 'thank you!' I wouldn't do that now tho coz microaggressions became a thing.

I'm very uncomfortable with anyone saying anything nice about me on any platform (including IRL). But if someone attacks me or complains, I jump right in. Like I don't really get the "you're great" stuff. What am I supposed to do with that information?

You can be extremely annoying.

Depends upon if the comment is virtue signal or authentic attention to detail. One good hair day, a guy in grocery checkout said, "I bet you've never colored your hair. Beautiful natural glow to it." I haven't, so it made me happy someone liked natural style.
-
And, if I had, would have thought, "Need to bonus tip my stylist."

I reckon it might be better to have put a sign up saying, 'keep your eyes fixed straight ahead and your mouth shut tight or you're gonna harrass someone'.

That lipstick in your profile pic is a great colour for you.

I think there's a distinct line between disliking it, which could be simply due to natural social anxiety or an innate uncomfortableness in crowds, due categorizing it as sexual harassment and insisting it's part of dehumanization of women or other individuals.
