Polyamory is one of many things I'm ethically in full support of but intuitively against. I think this is why. When polyamorous friends talk about it, it sounds like committed relationships but more of them & disproportionately greater amounts of emotional work & conversations.https://twitter.com/primalpoly/status/991351209691758592 …

“ethically in full support of but intuitively against”, what do u mean? I think polygamy should be legal, but I morally oppose it. Human nature supports monogamy. Infedelity in the long run creates distrust

I think it is morally acceptable if all parties are consenting. So it is not infidelity. Humans are vertically polygamous. I just don't think it sounds very appealing.

I know that polyamory helped our species survive and grow in numbers in the past, but I discourage it. Again I don’t polyamory should be illegal. “Vertically polyamorous”? I don’t know where u lean politically, but I’m pretty sure ur not a conservative lol

Should partner #3 pay child support for the biological child of 1+2 if they leave the threesome?

Huh? Ask Helen. Oh typo above. I meant "I don’t THINK polyamory should be illegal."

Throwing it to either of you. If polyamory isn't illegal, it should be held to the same standards and legal obligations as other committed relationships.

Sure. I don't know what these should be but polyamorous people tend to make very explicit agreements among themselves. That's why it seems so exhausting to me. I don't know if many live in threesomes tho.
