I get the best of both worlds if I do a low calorie keto diet but because fat has so many calories, I am constantly hungry and miserable. It will become an option when I am slim & doing a lot of exercise and can afford to eat 2000 calories a day. Can get 3 small meals for that

I think keto works well for people who get filled up quickly on fatty food. The stuff I was reading said many people only feel the need to eat small amounts once or twice a day. I am not one of those people, however.

I have been trying determinedly to lose weight for 2 months. In March, I lost 8 lbs by trying keto & then low calorie keto & then low-calorie non-keto. In April, I put on 8lbs by making sure I stayed in ketosis but eating whenever I was hungry. May will be 1200 calories a day

According to my fitbit, I'm burning 3700 calories a day. If I eat 1200 5 days a week, 2000 one day a week and 2,500 one day a week, I should lose 4lbs a week. Maybe not so much if my metabolism has been screwed up by the meds. But I will stick to this for all of May & report

Just go vegan and start cross fit.

Gotta have that bacon, huh?
-
No, that's fattening. Mostly seafood, fish and chicken.

Here’s something that will actually work. http://engine2diet.com

Eating 2000 calories a day less than I burn off works.

For what it's worth, what worked for me was lots of exercise and an almost complete reduction in liquid calories. Not so much dieting or avoiding any specific food groups.

I'm fairly sedentary because exercise just makes my Chronic pain worse. I found replacing my sugary drinks to water or carbonated water has helped me shed about 10 Lbs in 2 months.

It's remarkable how much you can cut by sticking to tap water. Now if only they'd invent zero-cal alcohol, that'd be terrific....
-
I only drink tea and tap water.
-
I love my tea, but I stopped using cream and sugar a long time ago. I especially like exotic blends.
-
No. Just one tea. With skimmed milk. That is all.

Yes, keto is definitely not for me. I'm constantly hungry on it and if I eat enough to satisfy that hunger, I put weight on. Much better for me to eat large servings of very low calorie food
