Too many reasonable leftists and reasonable rightists are ignoring/minimising/condoning/internalising seriously worrying ideologically-motivated epistemologies on their own side because aims match up on the surface.

They give too little thought to methods and understandings of the world because the core aims seem OK and you've got to pick a side and the methods and understandings of the world on the other side are crazy and dangerous.

But how we see society and the methods we advocate for improving it are the things that really matter. I am a liberal lefty. I share progressive aims in terms of gender/racial/LGBT equality with intersectional lefties. I do not share their vision of society or their methods.

I think they are based on dubious ideological premises, low on respect for evidence and reason and counterproductive to the interests of women and racial and sexual minorities.
