      I have recently realized that men place a lot of their self worth on sex. It made me kind of sad. Not because I think it’s a bad thing but because society seems to scoff at it when it’s pretty natural from my POV.

      But a lot of that comes from other men. The patriarchy is limiting because it treats men like competitors and women like resources. Treating everyone like a human being would simplify a lot.

      Intrasexual competition has nothing to do with patriarchy. It's biology. Men & women compete intrasexually for mates but women are pickier. The fact that there isn't a patriarchy means that women don't have to settle for men they're not attracted to. They can survive alone now.

      No, the thread you just left actually says otherwise: biology didn’t make “the Middle East” or “blue collar” workers. Those things are hierarchies created by our patriarchal traditions. Dudes find other dudes to work for to raise families. That’s not biology.pic.twitter.com/QenT3IADzF

      He referenced intrasexual competition. This is to do with sexual selection which is how evolution works. Patriarchies do exist, of course, but intrasexual competition exists where it does not and among all species resulting in violence among males.

      That is a tangential issue and has no bearing on whether or not intrasexual competition exists and results in violence. It does and it does. The point was a very simple one about biology and you are going way off track so I will leave it here.
