It's attracted a large number of right-wing loons. Much rhetoric around it now is political & irrelevant to freedom of speech -anti-immigration, anti-multiculturalism, much emphasis on owning the liberal left. This is counterproductive to freedom of speech & to Dankula's case

I know several people who still intend to attend & are doing so because they, like me, are very concerned about the current threat to UK freedom of speech which they support consistently regardless of the political/ideological position of the speaker. I support their decision.

I, however, have decided that I will be better off supporting free speech in writing from my liberal-lefty standpoint & finding common ground with ideologically & politically diverse, reasonable people who support this basic freedom for everyone on principle.
