I disagree with it being forced on everybody but I do see validity in medical care providers specifying anatomy over gender identity because people are stupid. "Women need regular cervical screening" "Well, I'm not a woman." "Do you have a cervix?" "Yes." "GET IT SCREENED"https://twitter.com/ObviouslyNotAll/status/986921376597585920 …

When the lobby groups who got the NHS to change "pregnant woman" to "pregnant person", are now lobbying to change "female anatomy" to "anatomy associated with pregnancy and birth", you can see his point. They won't stop until everyone is speaking their ever-changing language.

Why should other people care if they don't? It's their body. If they want to deny their own biological reality, why should other people care if they don't get the screening and treatment their body needs?

You can try to convince them they shouldn't care but then why would they care what you think?

Gabriel is making a point about the erasure of bio-women to make way for trans-women, he seems extremist, but he also has the same concerns you've stated & if trans-women are truly women, why is their well-being focused on above bio-women? Doesn't this show there's a difference?

There is a difference. That's what the 'trans' bit is. Trans women get a lot more discrimination and abuse than cis women.

So we're not ready as a society to accept transwomen as just women. Will we ever be? I think it's blind utopianism & there needs to be a better way for them to be accepted. The changing of gendered language that has evolved over millennia, isn't a good idea, it's incomprehensible

The Life Of Brian addressed some of these issues presciently in 1979. See above clip.

Language is extremely resistant to change. FACT. And for good reasons about the nec stability of meanings. Ord people will thus resist it. Rightly. You CAN enforce it, but only through threats of forms of violence (local physically or state via law). Then where will be be?
