But then nobody would be worried about trans women going into men's bathrooms, either? So why not just say everybody can go to the men's bathroom, and only women to the women's bathroom (if they need something extra)?

But that would make them a kind of woman? Like black women, short women, disabled women? Some people make the distinction of 'women and transwomen' as different nouns but this would need to be widely accepted to ban trans women from women's spaces.

I personally would let "normal" women make the decision if they accept trans women in their bathroom. And bathroom seem harmless. If there was for example a military draft for men only, I don't think trans women should be able to escape the draft.
